Assistant Manager

Location: Toston, Montana

Rose Cattle Company is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our family cattle operation beginning September 1, 2026.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working cattle, solving problems, and helping keep the daily operation running smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be expected to work alongside the crew while helping oversee the day-to-day operation.

Responsibilities include:
• Running the feed truck and managing the daily feeding program
• Processing, doctoring, shipping, and receiving cattle
• Monitoring cattle health and making management recommendations
• Operating loaders, skid steers, tractors, and other ranch equipment
• Equipment and facility maintenance
• Assisting with employee supervision and daily operations
• Helping keep the ranch running efficiently year-round

The ideal candidate:
• Has previous ranch or feedlot experience
• Can confidently operate a feed truck and heavy equipment
• Has strong cattle handling and animal health knowledge
• Is dependable, self-motivated, and organized
• Enjoys working as part of a team and leading by example

This is a full-time salaried position.

Housing is available for the right candidate, and health insurance is available after the probationary period.
